What is Royal Rangers?
Royal Rangers is a Christian scouting program designed to minister to the needs of boys. It was started as a boys ministry by the Men's Ministries of the Assemblies of God. This program has since spread beyond just that one denomination to many churches in many countries. At Bonita Valley, Royal Rangers is a part of Children's Ministries. It is the mission of Royal Rangers to Reach, Teach, and Keep boys for Christ. For Information on how to join Royal Rangers, contact our Outpost Senior Commander by calling Bonita Valley Community Church at (619) 475-8000
The Royal Rangers program at Outpost 106 is designed to provide young men with exciting activities while teaching them a deep rooted belief in Jesus Christ while living by the Ranger Code. A camping theme is at the heart of the activities, along with an advancement award system whereby Royal Rangers must demonstrate specific knowledge and abilities in order to be recognized as earning each award. The program is divided into Units which are determined according to the School Grade groups below. Click on the patches below.
Boys in Grades Kindergarten to 2nd
The Ranger Kids program is the introductory program, designed to help boys grow socially, physically, mentally, and spiritually through age-appropriate games, crafts, and Bible studies. Meetings will focus on such topics as the community and the church, important character traits, the importance of family, and God's creation.

Discovery Rangers are introduced to a wider range of activities such as the camping program. Discovery Rangers demonstrates that reading the Bible can be fun! Adventure Rangers encourages life application of the Word. Boys will face challenges in their Christian walk. The Adventure Rangers program will help them be consistent. Boys will continue to earn merits as they work toward the Gold Medal of Achievement. As they get older, the merits become more physically and mentally challenging.

Expedition Rangers challenges young men to achieve, learn, and grow into men of God. Now is when each young man will face the most important questions of his life: What career do I want to pursue? When do I want to get married? How can I be involved in ministry? Am I going to live for the Lord?
Expedition Rangers meet on Wednesdays at 7:30PM.
Frontiersman Camping Fellowship - For boys ages 11 and Older
The Frontiersman Camping Fellowship (FCF) is a special honor
society to give recognition to older boys and men who had distinguished
themselves in advancement, training, and camping. The early American
frontiersman was an excellent example of man's ability to adapt to the outdoors
and the wilderness. His achievements were also an example of courage and
determination. Likewise, Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship is based on the lore
and traditions of these early frontiersmen.
Outpost 106 Patrols
Within each age group, we have Patrols. Each boy that enters the Royal Rangers Program will be assigned to a Patrol. The patrol is a special group of boys that do things together within each Outpost. The boys of each patrol will select a name in keeping with the ideals of Royal Rangers and elect it's own Guide. Each week, during the Outpost meetings, time is set aside for patrols to meet. Games will be played between patrols during game periods, and each patrol will sit or stand together during ceremonies.
